AI Training Jobs Open to Pakistan (2026)

AI training work · country guide

Paid remote work evaluating and improving AI models — medicine, software, finance, maths — for candidates in Pakistan. The platform picture here is unusual and nobody else spells it out: Mercor does not currently support Pakistan, while Turing and micro1 do. This page carries only the roles you can actually get, the honest hours from PKT, and how the money reaches a Pakistani bank.

The hours, honestlyHard — night-time both blocks

10pm – 2am PKT early block · night  ·  3am – 7am PKT late block · pre-dawn

Pakistan sits in the hardest overlap band: the early block is a night shift and the late block a pre-dawn one. The pattern that works for many here mirrors India next door — take the 3am–7am block, sleep early, and have the day free. On US summer time (PDT) both shift an hour earlier.

Counts from our live inventory, checked 3 Aug 2026 — and they already exclude every Mercor role, so the 349 is real, not padded. If Mercor adds Pakistan to its supported list, this page will say so.

What can you earn from Pakistan?

Role type Typical posted range (US-anchored)
General evaluation & writing $15–$30/hr
Graduate / professional domains $25–$60/hr
Specialist expert (medicine, law, finance, engineering) $50–$150/hr
Top-end physician / attorney projects $150–$220/hr

Those figures are what listings and 2026 contractor reviews show — and they are US-anchored. How they translate to you depends on the platform, because each localises differently. Mercor: roles with a posted hourly rate pay that rate wherever you are; roles with a negotiated band tend to land in the lower half of it from lower-cost countries. micro1: you set your own rate, but it must be “competitive for your skill level” — and contractor reviews report US/UK-based professionals landing higher rates for similar work, so regional pricing pressure is real. Turing: explicitly benchmarks compensation to your local market — expect the largest adjustment of the three.

Our working estimate for Pakistan: banded offers commonly land 30–50% below the US top of band. With Mercor absent here, the two live platforms sit at opposite ends of the adjustment scale — Turing benchmarks to the local market, micro1 lets you set a rate against regional competition — so quoting sensibly matters more in Pakistan than almost anywhere. Weekly USD via Deel or the platform; still multiples of typical local professional rates.

Bands compiled from live platform listings and published 2026 contractor reviews; the platforms do not publish official rate cards. Country adjustments are ACJ estimates, refined continuously from our referrer calls — treat them as expectation-setting, not a quote.

Common questions

Can I work a 4-hour PST overlap from Pakistan?

Yes, but honestly: Pakistan is in the hardest band. On PKT (UTC+5) the early PST block runs 10pm–2am — a night shift — and the late block 3am–7am, a pre-dawn start. There is no comfortable option, only the choice between them; many contractors take the pre-dawn block and keep their days free. The full overlap explainer has an interactive calculator and map.

Does Mercor accept candidates from Pakistan?

No — not at present. Mercor publishes an official supported-countries list and Pakistan is not on it, which means Mercor roles (including its “global” ones) are not open to Pakistan-based candidates. That is a payments-and-compliance decision on Mercor’s side, not a judgement on Pakistani talent. The good news: Turing and micro1 both engage Pakistani contractors, and every role counted on this page comes from those two platforms. We re-check the Mercor list quarterly and will update this page if it changes.

How do the platforms pay in Pakistan?

Contracts are in US dollars. Turing pays through Deel, which supports local PKR bank transfer, Payoneer, Wise and other withdrawal options — useful in Pakistan, where PayPal does not operate. micro1 processes payment through its platform after identity verification. Payments are typically weekly or per completed milestone.

Are there medical AI roles open to Pakistan? (I’m a doctor or was preparing for PLAB)

Yes — 35 medical and clinical roles were open to Pakistan at our last check, nearly all reviewer and evaluation work: assessing AI-generated clinical content for accuracy and safety. Pakistani doctors are one of the largest PLAB cohorts, and with the UK’s Medical Training (Prioritisation) Act 2026 narrowing NHS training access, many are re-planning toward Australia’s AMC route or the USMLE. This work is not an alternative to a medical career — it’s the bridge that funds the next exam using the clinical knowledge you already have. The full 2026 map for international doctors covers every route honestly.

How much can I actually earn from Pakistan?

US-anchored listings run $15–$30/hr for general evaluation, $25–$60 for graduate domains, $50–$150+ for specialists. From Pakistan expect banded offers roughly 30–50% below the US top of band: Turing benchmarks to the local market and micro1 self-set rates face regional pricing pressure. Paid weekly in USD — even adjusted, multiples of typical local professional earnings.

Is this a permanent job or freelance work?

Freelance contracting, not employment — no benefits, no guaranteed hours, and projects can pause at short notice. Pay is reliable and usually weekly, and you choose your 4-hour block. In practice it is part-time, work-from-home contracting — the block is the whole daily commitment for most people, which is why so many run it alongside a job, studies or family.
