AI training work · country guide
Paid, part-time, flexible remote work evaluating and improving AI models — for professionals in Singapore, across Mercor, micro1 and Turing. Freelance, weekly pay in USD, and a 4-hour daily overlap with US Pacific time we explain honestly below. Whatever your field — finance, software, data, law, medicine or research — if your professional judgement is the kind of thing AI now needs checking against, this is where it’s paid for: reviewing and improving what the AI produces.
I’ve tracked these roles daily since early 2026 and taken on assignments on both Mercor and micro1 myself — so what follows is what I actually see in the listings and in the work, not a guess.

The hours, honestlyWorkable — early morning
1am–5am SGT alternative · night · 6am–10am SGT the workable block · early morning
On SGT the early PST block runs 1am–5am SGT (night), with the late block at 6am–10am SGT (early morning). Singapore sits far ahead of US Pacific, so the friendlier option is the 6am–10am morning block — an early start before the day, rather than a late night. On US summer time both shift an hour earlier.

Which roles are open to Singapore — and who’s in demand?
Unlike some countries, very few roles are aimed specifically at Singapore — and that’s the point worth understanding. The overwhelming majority of AI training work doesn’t specify a country at all: it’s global-default, open to anyone eligible on the platform, and Singapore qualifies on all three. So your opportunity isn’t a handful of local postings — it’s the 462 roles in the broader pool.
And this is where Singapore plays to its strengths. As one of the world’s leading financial centres — the banks, funds and fintechs clustered around Raffles Place and the MAS ecosystem (DBS, Standard Chartered, and a fintech scene where a quarter of financial-services jobs are now tech roles), it has exactly the kind of professionals these roles pay for: finance, fintech, quant and software professionals whose judgement is what the models need checked. That means finance and quantitative roles, AI, ML & data work, software engineering, legal and clinical review, broad generalist work, and entry-level openings for students and recent graduates — all as flexible, part-time remote work paid in USD. (Counts from our live inventory, checked August 2026; eligibility confirmed per role at application.)
Common questions
Can I work a 4-hour PST overlap from Singapore?
Yes. On SGT the friendlier overlap is a 6am-10am early-morning block (the 1am-5am night slot is the alternative). The overlap explainer has an interactive calculator and map.
Which platforms accept candidates from Singapore?
All three. Singapore is on Mercor’s supported-countries list, micro1 hires here (per-role verification), and Turing engages contractors via Deel.
Are there roles specifically for Singapore, or is it the global pool?
Mostly the global pool — few roles name Singapore specifically, but the large majority of AI training work is global-default and open to you. With 462 roles in the broader pool, the opportunity is wide, especially in finance, tech and professional domains.
Is AI training work part-time and genuinely remote?
Yes to both — freelance, fully-remote contractor work you fit around other commitments, usually a flexible block of a few hours overlapping US Pacific time. Projects can pause at short notice, so most treat it as part-time income.
